Microsoft Dynamics GP Great Plains is MS SQL Server 2005 application, current
version in 10.0. Since version 8.0 Microsoft Dynamics GP supports only SQL Server.
This fact opens wide development horizons for eCommerce Microsoft Visual Studio.Net
C# and VB developers. Also GP has eConnect tool, specially designated for eCommerce
development - it allows you to program master records: account, customer, vendor,
employee and work transactions: Sales Order, Invoice, GL Transaction, Purchase
Order, etc. Let's come through some technical highlights:
1. Legacy eCommerce sites. If your business has ecommerce channel, it probably was
launched several or even many years ago and so you do not like the idea to redesign
ecommerce site from scratch. You would only need to integrate existing ecommerce
site with Microsoft Dynamics GP. In this case you need to invest into eConnect
